SETAFA AC and Academy athletes turned out in what was some of the most extreme June weather I have ever witnessed. Rain and wind tore through the south coast causing the simple task of putting up a tent to becoming super hazardous.
In Kingston Zac Williams took part in what was weather of biblical proportions to run an incredible time (under the circumstances) of 57.2 for the 400m hurdles. Another England Schools qualifying standard time.
At Lewes the weather was just as bad and I also experienced a technical issue with my phone as it got wet and stopped working. It was up and running again by the time the relays came around in this Div 3 SAL fixture so this was all the footage I managed to record.
The times on the day were badly affected by the weather but the races themselves were very competitive.
